Oh dear, is someone offering this child candy?! Is it a stranger or maybe his mom? Maybe he's not looking thrilled about it because his mom had a few licks and he's at the age when cooties are a thing? Your character has a lot of personality and is clearly trying to make some kind of decision. Love the little blue bird.
